Exactly 23 years ago, the most beautiful and weird man I’ve ever seen come into the world, this must surely have been a great day for the few people who knew you at that time. Who knew that today I would thank every day that God has placed you in my life.

I was supposed to have written this yesterday, but I was completely sure that everything that I would write a complete shit. As it is now. But my love is infinitely large to be placed on a single sheet of paper. Yes, right now I’m listening to “That Girl” the first clip I saw of McFly, and I’m sitting on the couch. Okay, I confess this is rather strange, taking into account that it was the first clip I watched you. The moment I clapped eyes on that little blond boy, crazy, shy, awkward, but at the same time cute and pretty face with a baby, I fell in love right away. I fell for his knack of being all boy, who had stripped her way to dress, and especially by his smile. I lost count of how many times I watched the interviews with you, and I was coming back just to save his shy smile and sincere. I also remember when you claimed that it had some ass, and kept asking for a Santa Claus, huh? Dougie you do not need a big ass that I love you. After all, I fell in love with you since the first time I saw you as I said before. Miss that time when you were the weird kid and pimply McFLY, their way of dressing skater. You taught me that we can be happy with the little things in life, I did find friends whose friendship I will not lose ever. And today I’m rooting for you to be happy and I want you to be on every day of your life. These are the first 23 years of many to come. A lot of fun, joy and festivities. Yes, it’s your birthday, but over the years who always won this was me, just because you know there is something so comforting to me. Anyway, thank you for giving me years of pure joy, clowning, laughter and craziness. Without you McFLY, would not be McFLY. All I have to say regardless of what others will think is that I love you, truly and unconditionally. I love you Dougie Poynter ♥
